Tuscan youth active on the Environment

The Sustenaible Deal has been carried out the 21 of January with Tuscany students: a document fruit of the reflections emerged in the course of the first Junior Conference about environment in Tuscany; the Active Young people for Environment, kept slid 29 October into the Fortress - SottoVENTI.

Protagonists of the Conference were approximately 80 students of the advanced institutes from Tuscany, called to be confronted on sustainable, in order to place questions to the regional and local administrators.

The Deal has been symbolically undersigned by the competent regional city council members in environment and by the other administrators that have participated; for the Province of Florence Renzo Crescioli and for the Municipality of Capannori, AICA's member, Alessio Ciacci; it has been wished that the document can find maximum reply and spread for a wide and felt adhesion in all Tuscany territory.
We have interviewed Alessio Ciacci, City council member for Capannori (Tuscany).

Which students have been involved the Deal?
«All the students of the advanced schools, with which we have already a partnership with the schools had been started a dialogue with their teachers».

Into the Deal three questions are expressed: a healthy environment, a society that offers to the citizens services and quality of health and living, and at last a transparent and responsible economy. Which perspectives will be after this subscription?
«The future perspectives are surely those more and more to activate political for the environment to the social one and a greater quality of life. It is important to not forget also the economic level, that is the convenience of the policies that are put into effect».

In which concrete ways? The Deal makes specifies references to reducing the production of waste, improving of the management and to favour the development of real economic opportunities tied to the within of waste, besides to the biodiversities and new energies.
«In this optical the next year education activities, in particular specific plans on waste prevention and reduction, will be organise: for example the elimination of all the mineral waters bottled from the scholastic caterings. And it will be attempted to cultivate the analysis and the critical spirit of all students to being more and more active».
