Eco-meeting at Ascoli

From the 12th to the 14th of November 2010, at the “Città delle stelle” mall in Ascoli Piceno (Italy), will be held the “Ecologicamente”, the event organized by SpazioAmbiente that promotes interesting Eco-meetings with public speakers along with different personalities from the industry and competent administrative authorities.

During these three days, on Friday November the 12th at 15:30, there is a panel discussion, organized in collaboration with AICA (Associazione Internazionale per la Comunicazione Ambientale), What practices for the prevention of waste are taken in Marche? Waiting for the European Week for Waste Reduction 2010 project developer marches to be compared, and the quality of the content and objectives achieved, especially as the awareness on the protection and respect for the environment, it should not be missed. This will interface with the project developer Dr. Silvia Musso, the secretary of the Italian organization of the European Week for Waste Reduction. Robertino Perfetti, the president of SpazioAmbiente, the cultural association based in San Gines (MC) which is dedicated to the promotion of a new environmental culture through the organization of meetings, events and competitions also aimed at young children, will instead be the moderator and will show us the event.

Dr. Perfetti from SpazioAmbiente, who has been chairman of the association since 1999: what is your philosophy?
«The basis of our work is the goal of providing citizens with, but not only, environmentally sound and practical answers, inviting them to actually meet the representatives of public administrations, institutions, associations and practitioners and industry professionals. Its main goals can be summarized in raising awareness on the protection and respect for the environment, to inform citizens about the real opportunities available for people to act for their own welfare and the environment in which they live; by informing new professional figures in the field of environmentalism and future generations who are attentive to environmental issues, and, last but not least, in promoting comparison between people, organization, companies and associations».

What does Ecologicamente represent for SpazioAmbiente?
«For SpazioAmbiente, Ecologicamente represents a cultural challenge with many purposes. A challenge related to ecological responsibility that can be learned only if it is properly informed. To date we have organized activities that were formally based and turned to a limited and selected audience. With Ecologicamente, along with our presence in the shopping center, we want to be loud and impact on everyone as if we were in a town square. Our aim is to be totally open to the public. We have not changed our target, but our modus operandi. As usual we will put our speakers around a table and put them in a position to really be part of a change».

Ecologicamente promises to be a real event which will see meetings, exhibitions, workshops, and entertainment. Is it true that within it there will be an amusement park?
«There will be a fun-learning eco-park, an area where children are invited to design the elements of nature. Then there will be workshops, which are also free to participate in, which are organized in collaboration with other industry associations with the contribution of major companies. It also includes a toy exhibition».
